KATA

Synopsis

Turkish SULTAN, master of the largest harem in the East, is unable to cope with his sister’s “murderous acts” and brutality. Even hard-boiled Ottoman dignitaries are outraged with bloody orgies of Sultana and Yankas, beauty assassins from bodyguards of Turkish Princess.
Under his sister’s pressure, the Sultan decides to give her a vast domain in Carpathians, near the border of his Empire. Kata and her faithful Yankas set out to settle in the new land.
The action develops in parallel both in Middle Ages and nowadays. Happy newlyweds together with their guests go to a new restaurant, opened recently in the old and abandoned Nevitsky Castle, to celebrate their wedding. The Castle is situated several kilometers from the city of Uzhgorod.
The Yankas squad brutally murders Prince Koryata and his retinue who came to a peasant wedding to exercise his jus primae noctis right. Having quickly finished with the local warriors, Sultana holds a feast on their bones… and decides to build a castle on this very place.
By Sultana’s order the bride is buried alive in the foundation, while the groom has to be killed by her acolyte Yanka Ezha. Ezha recognizes her brother in the groom…
The Castle of Brides is built promptly and cruelly. Babies’ blood and breast milk is added into a masonry mortar. Yankas often make up lewd and bloody orgies. After a night of love, the blood from the bodies of deceived or careless knights is also added into the mortar.
Around the Castle of Princess Zukhra, whom the locals nicknamed “Kata”, or “a Torturer”, a palisade is growing decorated with heads of rebels and those who by any reason do not want to bow low to vicious Kata, Lady of the Fortress…
Under Zukhra’s order, the ruthless Yankas scour about neighboring villages searching for children and mothers. One of the Prince’s numerous concubines managed to hide his son, Ivanko. He was picked up and fostered by a wolf pack…
One day, Kata and Ivanko meet in the forest and fall in love with each other. She comes to him in the likeness of a beautiful maiden. It is the blood of young female captives that makes the Sultana’s body eternally young.
After a while, the local gentry proclaimed Ivanko their king. According to a tradition, only the man, whom the crown tossed up in the air would fall upon, can be a king. Despite the fierce opposition of the local nobility, the king’s crown goes to Ivanko!
Kata’s Castle, the Castle of Brides, is taken by storm using a ruse of war. And the King kills his former sweetheart mercilessly.
The wedding ceremony celebrated nowadays ends up tragically – one of the castle’s walls crumbles and buries both guests and newlyweds alive…
Only Kata’s child survives – a fruit of her love to King Ivanko.
